Turn On your Alexa SpeakerĪfter several to ten seconds, a Home Screen appears on our Alexa as shown next. Why? Because Alexa will not work well on many limited access or closed networks. But you must power ON the speaker must before you begin.Īlso, the network you set up on the Spot must have internet access. Note that you can connect any Alexa speaker to the internet whether or not it successfully connects currently. Before Starting to Connect Alexa to the Internet The Spot provides all the necessary menus for getting it up and running on the internet. Furthermore, at least for the Alexa Spot speaker, you need neither a tablet nor phone running the Amazon Alexa app, because this speaker has its own touchscreen. Now keep in mind that you need not completely erase your Alexa speaker settings to connect it to the internet on a new wireless network.
